Level: Middle

Location: Cluj-Napoca

The QA Engineer is responsible for identifying problems with the software and its design and for improving QA processes throughout the company. S/he reports to the QA Team Lead / CTO.

Responsabilities:

Follow the formal QA processes in the company

Mentor less experienced QA team members in order to help their technical development

Develop and execute test cases, scripts and procedures (manual and automated)

Automate tests where appropriate

Produce and prioritize bug reports

Provide estimates on new projects or on task completion

Verify that the load, scalability, and performance requirements have been met

Co-ordinate with the Infrastructure department to ensure required test platforms are
available

Work with developers to perform root-cause analysis and preliminary problem diagnosis

Take part in projects meetings and QA meetings

Occasionally communicate with clients

Skills that you must have:

Good technical knowledge in the field of software development

Strong problem-solving ability

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Fluent English (speaking, writing)

Clear understanding and use of standard testing techniques

(examples: black box testing, white box testing, performance testing, user acceptance testing, regression testing, boundary testing, stress testing)

Experience with automation tools

Selenium WebDriver (Selenium IDE knowledge is not enough), IntelliJ, TestNG, Jenkins

Experience with test management software

(example: TestRail)

Experience with task tracking software

(example: Jira, Redmine)

Nice to have:

Experience with mobile testing automation tools

(example: Appium)

Knowledge of performance testing

(example: JMeter)

Knowledge of security testing

(example: ZAP)
